Respect people
Do not harass, bully, threaten, stalk, shame, or target people. Hate speech or dehumanizing content based on protected characteristics is prohibited. Do not encourage others to pile on or evade a block.
Protect privacy and location
Do not post someone’s private information, real-time location, home address, intimate media, or identifying details without permission. Never use Vent to track or endanger another person.
Keep content lawful and safe
We prohibit sexual exploitation, non-consensual intimate content, content involving minors, credible threats, instructions intended to cause serious harm, illegal sales, and promotion of violent or criminal organizations. Graphic or sexual content may be removed even when legal.
Be authentic
Do not impersonate others, manipulate engagement, run scams, distribute malware, repeatedly post spam, or intentionally misrepresent a post’s location or source.
Report; do not retaliate
Use the Report action on a post to send it for review. Use Block Userto remove that account’s posts from your map and prevent new direct messages. Do not retaliate or repost harmful content to draw attention to it.
Enforcement
Vent may remove content, limit features, suspend or delete accounts, preserve evidence, or contact appropriate authorities depending on severity, history, and risk. Attempts to evade enforcement may lead to additional action. Reports are reviewed in context and may not always produce the outcome a reporter requests.
